Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Lingharu iOS and Android apps and this information website, operated by DOKWDO (DongKwan Kho). For privacy questions and requests, contact dodokw93@gmail.com.

The app stores vocabulary and review progress, saved words, answers and correctness, mistake-review history, study dates and durations, statistics, and settings on your device. These support study sessions, spaced review, and progress summaries. The current version has no account registration, sign-in, or server synchronization of study records. We do not send these records to our own server or include them in advertising requests. Your operating-system provider may back up and restore app data according to your device settings.

Lingharu uses Google AdMob and Google UMP. Google and advertising partners identified in the consent interface may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device identifiers including advertising identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and app or advertising-SDK performance and error information. This supports advertising delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Consent preferences may be stored on your device. Non-personalized advertising can still require technical information.

Where required, a consent interface appears before advertising requests. You may consent, decline, or manage options. When UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, you can change your choices through the advertising privacy option on the app’s statistics screen. Manage iOS tracking permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Android advertising-identifier choices in your device’s advertising or privacy settings. Depending on permission and consent, personalization may be restricted or ads may be unavailable. Withdrawal does not retroactively affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Reading, listening, and vocabulary study do not request microphone recording, photos, contacts, or precise-location permission. Pronunciation and listening playback use your device’s text-to-speech service; its provider’s policy may apply depending on your selected engine and settings. In the current version, we have not activated separate Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics collection for study-behavior analytics or crash reporting. The advertising SDK’s own diagnostic processing is described separately above.

If you email us, we use your reply address and the content you choose to send to answer the request or handle a privacy inquiry. This website contains no advertising, separate visitor-analytics scripts, or input forms added by us. Cloudflare, which delivers this website, may process IP addresses, request time and URL, and browser or device connection information for delivery and security. Email providers also process information to deliver and store messages.

Advertising involves Google LLC and partners identified in the consent interface. Website delivery involves Cloudflare, Inc. Relevant information may be processed through their network requests in countries where these services operate, including the United States. The information and purposes are described in the advertising and website sections above. See each provider’s policy for processing locations, retention, and rights procedures. You may limit future processing by changing consent or device settings or stopping use of the relevant service.

Local study records remain until app data is deleted. On Android, you can clear app data through your device’s app-storage settings. On iOS, deleting the app can remove its local app data; offloading the app may keep that data. Manage operating-system or cloud backups separately in the provider’s settings. Advertising-service records may be retained separately under their own policies and are not necessarily deleted when you uninstall the app. Support correspondence is used for as long as needed to resolve the inquiry and is deleted when no longer needed, subject to any applicable retention requirement.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal of consent. Manage local study data on your device, because we do not hold a server copy. Provider-held information may also require a request through that provider. Lingharu does not ask you to enter a date of birth or a child’s personal profile. Parents or guardians may contact dodokw93@gmail.com about children’s information or rights requests. Where applicable, you may complain to a supervisory authority.

We limit processing and access to what the service needs and use secure transport such as HTTPS for external communications where available. When features or information practices change, we update this page and its revision date. Significant changes will receive additional notice where applicable law requires it.
